The power in your innermost parts of your family is INspiring! I don’t parent conventionally. And I question myself on the reg. Thank you so much for lighting that fire under me. American flag Sailor Independence the 4th of July shirt and tank top
I think it is a very good viewpoint, but here’s my take on American flag Sailor Independence the 4th of July shirt. The American history you are talking about is white American history. White people sacrificed their lives to have independence from an authoritarian British Monarchy and then continually fought and died to preserve and expand that freedom. However, many of these same white people own, abused, belittled, and oppressed black people. The same people who fought for American independence owned slaves. And then their grandchildren fought to preserve the right to own those slaves. Then after they lost that war, they spent over a hundred years doing whatever they could to oppress those same black people from having those same rights as themselves. So, that’s where I think your disconnect lies. I still hold a huge amount of respect for you and, relating to one of your other posts. I do value your political opinion even if we disagree. But white history in American is not the same as black history in America.
