The root cause? Probably the Baby Yoda hug Oakland Raider shirt fact that, for a time, Davis was a Fellow of the American Football Federation while Rozelle was a Fellow of the National Football League. When the two tournaments merged in 1970, Rozelle and Davis still didn’t like each other much. But, that hostility stirred again when Davis wanted to move the Raiders to Los Angeles, where he finally succeeded after defeating the NFL in Federal court in 1982.

I know who designed the Baby Yoda hug Oakland Raider shirt first Raiders logo Raiders. It was somewhere around 1961 or 1962 (I can’t remember the exact date). My mother then named Lois McClain (now Lois Thompson) was an office administrator for a small decal company on Shattuck Ave., in Berkeley, California (the company closed decades ago). At the time, there were only two decal companies in the Bay Area. One is the Borden decals in San Francisco. The other is Berkeley Decal (obviously in Berkeley) owned by Earl? (The name reminds me but my mother is 86 years old.).

The Raiders racing team has just been established and needs a Baby Yoda hug Oakland Raider shirt logo created to affix the decal to their helmets. Five artist concepts were developed and the Raiders Group chose the concept of my mother being a hybrid between pirate flags (also placed on poison bottles) and pirates. She added helmets and soccer to connect the two themes of raiders and football. She removed the skull and crossbones from the pirate flag and replaced the crossbow with a sword and a skull with a pirate with a helmet and eye patch.

I remember the logo clearly because the manual silk screen screening process required a Baby Yoda hug Oakland Raider shirt significant number of “first runs” to streamline everything for mass production. My mother brought home my first runs as a child (now around 55 +/- years ago). I have had most of my first runs and kept them for years but lost them several years ago with some other second hand in stock. I have read more than Tony Randall as inspiration for the decal. If that is true, it will only apply for future revisions. When she made the original logo, the skull and crossbones of a pirate flag were the main inspiration. Tony Randall has nothing to do with it. She can still be contacted if someone cares – she’s old but her mind is still quite clear.
