I did have the fun of carving a pumpkin and scraping the “guts” out. Every year I looked forward to getting a pumpkin and carving a jack-o-lantern. I set the carved pumpkin outside on the porch and put a candle in it.
That lasted for about a week before the jack*** teen boys in the neighborhood took my pumpkin and smashed it out in the street
That reminds me, I actually drove by my old childhood home a few days ago. Things look a lot smaller now!
I would love to knock on a few doors and find those “teenage boys”, now in their 70’s, and give them a piece of my mind!
Halloween spirit? Carve a pumpkin, clean the seeds, roast them and eat them!
I am THE pumpkin grandma for my grandkids. We do the jack-o-lantern project every year. Sometimes we also go to a zoo, for Zoo-Boo. Everybody dresses up! Ooooh, Scary!
