Yes! Original Colt 45 fan! I went to games with my Mother and she wears I was an Astros fan before it was cool Houston shirt when the opponents were heat, mosquitos and trying to see around a “beehive” hairdo! Sitting in the outfield for a few dollars per ticket. Being an Astro Buddy. Sitting behind home plate at every game without being a season ticket holder because the seats were always available. Changing my job status to “prn” to attend every game at home for a season, then traveling on road games with my Mother. Sitting through games when the bottom of the ninth with two out and the Astros were behind was a sure win! I could go on forever just stating that I earned THIS shirt! Win or lose, the ASTROS have always been my TEAM!
I was an Astros fan before it was cool Houston shirt, hoodie and sweater
I was a fan when they were the Colt 45’s! saw the last game in my I was an Astros fan before it was cool Houston shirt in the old stadium and the first game in the Astrodome! it was awesome! never will forget it! life-long fan! Awesome! I wore Astros gear, mainly old school orange, every baseball season..wasn’t too many of us when they were losing 100+ season! One of my favorites was Dickie Thon before he was hit in the face with a pitch by Mike Torres (I think).
Yep, grew up on the Astros, I was an Astros fan. I remember JR Richard being the starting pitcher in the 1980 AllStar game, one of my all time fav Astros. I was a fan when they were the Colt 45’s and became the Astros! All the way back to the first day of the Colt 45s. Yep win or lose for over 50 years an Astro fan. After all, I was an Astros fan even before they were the Astros.
Official I was an Astros fan before it was cool Houston shirt
In the early 1970’s, the Astros were broadcast on Baton Rouge radio, so I became a fan. This shirt I was an Astros fan before it was cool Houston shirt was made by my hand. Much like my friends who were watching TBS and WGN became fans of those teams in the 80s. Before the 45s/Astros were around, lots of folks followed the Cardinals because of KMOX strong signal. My point? Who knows. I identified as a preteen with something positive. Positive until my favorite player, César Cedéño had his legal troubles. Was still a fan of his thought. Then Bob Watson became a Yankee. Was still a fan. Thanks to Curt Flood, the free agency helped the players but hurt the game b/c part of the draw was that the players would be on the same team for years.
