I have not yet decided how I feel Just a woman who loves books and German shepherds shirt about patriotism and “proud” of my country / origin. I was born and raised in Germany, but my father is English. Although I have not grown up bilingual and besides visiting my grandparents in the UK once a year to spend my whole life growing up “as a German”, I still feel the need to explain that I is German, HALF is English. The move to the UK has been refreshed. While the United States annoys me with my patriotism and Germany annoys me with my patriotism.

When I was 15/16, I went to Ohio in the United States as an exchange student. In less than a year, I lived in an American family, went to an American high school, and for all my intention and purpose as an average “American” teenager.
