I put my rub on them; sucked them down in a Foodsaver bag. They are absorbing the rub in the fridge right now. My standard recipe is on file. I will refresh those posts just so you people can see it easily.

I just bought a couple of Pork Butts to cook and was wanting to get some advice and tips on cooking these. This will be my first time cooking Rub my butt then you can pull my pork BBQ shirt. So I have no personal experience doing so, just what I’ve seen on various videos. My questions are these: Do you inject and if so, what do you use? Do you coat with mustard before putting on the rub? What rub do you use and what kind of wood do you use for smoking? What temp are you pulling these off at and are you wrapping after that and letting it rest and if so, how long are you letting it rest. Any other advice would be welcome. I’m probably going to be using my Open Range on this cook since I have not used it in awhile and I’m finally going to reverse the smoking lid so I don’t have to open it over the firebox.
