Next is a large tray of lasagna & Italian or Vienna bread. Then the star of the meal – a large roast turkey at least 22 – 24 lbs. with all garnishes – mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green casserole, corn, cranberry sauce, stuffed meat, gravy.

Desserts are typically apple pie, pumpkin pie and chocolate cake to satisfy all guests’ different tastes plus ice cream. Later that evening, we had leftover turkey sandwiches. Oh !! Needless to say, we have thoroughly arranged the meal so now it’s just a healthy roast turkey with sides.
Dessert is apple pie with cream and maybe brownies. No more turkey sandwiches left in the evening. I created a killer herb used to stuff mirlitons as well. The basic sauce is very rich and moist, full of fresh vegetables and herbs.
