In the midterm elections in the United States on November 6, 2016, there were new characters who were elected to United State Representative, who were refugees and Muslims. That, clearly reflected America, is always equal to everyone. Two newly sworn Muslim Representatives on January 3, 2016, are female attorney Rashida Tlaib, Michigan State Representative, whose parents are Palestinian refugees, and Ilhan Omar, state Congresswoman. Minnesota, Omar was born in Somalia, a social activist, had been working in refugee camps since he was eight years old, before moving to the United States. Both female MPs in the age of three to forty (Rashida was born on July 24, 1976), all tend to be left-leaning in the Democratic Party.
