This may be because I have been hearing these people, and a certain Congressinal Members drone on about this ‘reform’ for many decades. What do they keep out of their pitch? Simply, these government paid Representatives do not tell you that they are paid to support privatization efforts (Millions of Dollars) and then they turn around and attempt to crush popular government programs by defunding them (causing giant deficits in the service-USPS, Social Security, etc.). So I think it is worthwhile to listen to the other side on all these privatization efforts. Why? Potentially there are Billions of Dollars in profits that would be designated for a few select people. Imagine if your dad received 15% profit from all US Prison expenses and imagine all that money goes to your sister when Dad passes. Is that what we need? It would be like having Congress pass a law that all electric vehicles are to be made by Tesla. It would be a guarantee for Elon to be our first Trillionaire. Is that an improvement? No? Then why similar policies be great for the USPS, Prisons, or Social Security? By the way, the same conservative group freezes the payroll tax collected by the US Government (paid for by employers) in order to attempt to destroy/crush Social Security. Yet the vast majority of us want to keep Social Security, not destroy it. So who should run things? I hope you can see the other side of the argument. Do we really gain if Millionaires become Billionaires by gaining control of US Government services? Likely the answer is no. The reason all this goes on for decades is we allow private money and interests to buy our politicians.

You may be worried about what people think of you. More specifically certain people whose opinions matter to you most or someone you’re trying to impress. I remember learning to how to speak in public when I joined Toastmasters, and that if you mess up mid speech, then to know that in an hour, most everyone will have forgotten your mistake. Most people are wrapped up in themselves and are more worried about their own embarrassing mistakes to even remember someone else’s! If it helps any, unless anyone brings it up, then they’ve either forgotten or like/love you enough to not ever bring it up again. If someone does constantly remind you about it, then if you explain how much it hurts you when they do and they keep doing so, explain that you will either dig up their most embarrassing moments or simply wait until it’s their turn to know humanities embarrassing foibles! Finally, here’s some really embarrassing moments (not mine, but some I’ve heard of) to show you that there’s always somebody worse off and that laughing about it actually helps.
