I was in the His Nala Her Simba Lion King Couple Valentine’s day sweatshirt In addition,I will do this process of relieving the SRO when a switchboard fire broke out on the port side of Maneuvering. Rather than finishing the turnover & sitting there sucking rubber, I exited Maneuvering, grabbed the nearest CO2 fire extinguisher & headed towards the shouting. When I rounded the corner behind the switchgear there was nothing but a wall of smoke & no visible flames. I pulled the pin & gave a short blast to the smoke cloud & it cleared out like a scalded cat, which revealed the smoke pouring out of the top louvers of the switchboard, so I emptied the extinguisher into the louvers where the smoke was coming out until the CO2 was flowing out the bottom louvers (CO2 is heavier than air). The XO arrived & relieved me as man-in-charge & I was the reflash watch until someone with an EAB & a fresh fire extinguisher showed up. I then went to Maneuvering, donned an EAB myself & relieved the SRO (sucking rubber until the portable air samples were satisfactory).
