It’s fisher thing you wouldn’t understand shirt

The above is an answer I wrote for a similar It’s fisher thing you wouldn’t understand shirt, but since you specifically asked about dressing in public, let me add this: Crossdressers don’t pass nearly as well as they think they do. They tend to ask supportive friends and other crossdressers for affirmation, and of course, those people are too nice to say anything critical. “Darling, you look fabulous!” even when there is obvious beard shadow or a square jaw or shoulders built like a heavyweight wrestler. They are fortunate in that most of the public will be too polite or embarrassed to react, but people do notice. If this happens when you are in a public place where the local community is hostile to crossdressing, it could land you in some serious danger.

So before you go out dressed, just go out around the places you would like to appear and take a close look at the women around you. What kind of It’s fisher thing you wouldn’t understand shirtdo they wear? What kind, and how much, makeup? How is their hair done? If you wish to pass, you need to look like everyone else in that area. If the locals are dressed modestly with minimal makeup, simple trainers, and low-maintenance hair but you show up in a leather miniskirt, fishnet stockings, 8-inch heels and enough makeup to paint over Buckingham Palace… you will NOT blend in, and you will NOT pass.

Years ago, my boyfriend Michael and I lived in the North End of Tacoma, Washington. We used to hang out at a Blues Bar. It was a great time in my life. We decided to have an after hour party in our house on the It’s fisher thing you wouldn’t understand shirt was a hot tub. The kitchen had a big window you could open and be in direct view of the hot tub.
