Unfortunately, I have one daughter who does not acknowledge me at Christmas. Or ever. I sent a note and check directly to the kids, 10 and 13. I don’t hear back but need to feel I took the high road. Younger daughter? They are now my only family …. I go a little nuts. Three “Santa age kids”, I live near them and they are the only people I have to buy for. Some of what I get is from Santa, and I don’t spend more than I can afford, but I have fun. I’m 75. Who knows how long I can do it? I don’t want or need much back – I enjoy pictures. Two years ago my daughter shampooed my rugs as a gift. I was thrilled!! But safe to say – I don’t keep score.
